I find it amusing how certain officials shout out to those big bad oil companies to "use or lose it" as if the leases weren't already structured that way.  There's plenty of proof that a certain party simply wants to run the energy show.  Does the word taxes mean anything to you?  Notice the politics weaved into the messages. 

Now call me a dummy, that's okay, but I didn't hear one word about how anyone is planning to increase the supply to cut our energy costs here did you?  Hmmmm, and how about any facts about  how many of those acres either don't have oil, or are that are tied up in litigation from environmentalists lawsuits, protests, or stalled for environmental studies?  Markay on how oil companies should spend what they earn...

If you listen to Markay's speech, they are more concerned about seizing the profits that oil companies earn to "solve global warming" and never once mention the booty that the government makes off of the same operations.  Listen carefully to the message, the belief that government shall dictate how a company spends it profits on re-newables versus developing ways to increase the supply that will lower gas prices.  If this crowd were worried about what you and I are spending, they'd be working to clear the obstruction that's causing the record energy costs... the obstruction they create through policies, restrictions, global warming legislation and on and on.  Instead, they just lay a blame trail on the other party in hopes that the spotlight will be moved off of them.  I might be a dummy, but so what, even me, Manny Can sees clearly that these people aren't really interested in cheap domestic energy, they're interested in something else...power perhaps?

Manny has a a message to these bozos, "you have a brain use it or lose your next election"!

Did you know that almost ALL of the BLM land leases end up with an almost automatic protest or lawsuit?  The Roan Plateau, the largest find of available natural gas, had over 15000 protests filed, including one by the State of Colorado's Governor. 

So are you starting to get the picture yet?

Check back soon when Manny will have more information about those 68 million acres and just how many of those are either being protested, involved in lawsuits and so on
